In 2026, we are planning to take a group of Year 10 – 12 students and staff to Victoria for a ski trip. As this trip is not part of the regular school curriculum, and participation is entirely optional, all students who wish to attend will be required to meet the full cost of the trip.
Given the nature of a school ski trip and the inherent risks involved, students are expected to be in good standing at Launceston Christian School. Where there are any concerns, a discussion with the Head of Secondary may be required before participation is confirmed.

As places are limited, priority will be given to 2026 Year 11 and 12 students (Current Year 10 and 11 students). Confirmed attendees will be required to secure their place with a non-refundable deposit of $400 by Monday, 1 December 2025. The balance of the trip must be paid in full by Monday 4 May 2026.
Why is the ski trip deposit non-refundable?
The ski trip deposit is non-refundable because it is used immediately to secure travel and accommodation arrangements, including transport, lodging, and activities. Once these bookings are made, the school is unable to recover the costs if a student withdraws. However, if another student can take the place and the school does not incur any loss, a partial or full refund may be possible.
What if you can’t make the full deposit by the due date?
The deposit is important to secure your place. However, if you are unable to pay the full deposit by the due date, please arrange to meet with Mr Graeme Smith to discuss options.
