From the Principal

Let's take some time to get know each other

A warm welcome to Launceston Christian School, a school that strives to provide an education that is clearly and explicitly Christian.

Our mission is to assist parents by providing a Christ-centred, biblically grounded, culturally engaging and academically rigorous education from Kindergarten through to Year 12.

We currently have just under 700 students learning with and from passionate Christian teachers and other staff with a curriculum flowing from our understanding as Christians that all of life must be centred on God and his plan to restore all things under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Our school is situated in the Launceston suburb of Riverside and has expansive grounds, a beautifully equipped campus, excellent facilities and space for students to thrive and grow in a peaceful atmosphere that impacts the learning environment provided for our students.

Our school values our strong partnership with parents, working together to develop and grow students who are of strong character, are empathetic, resilient and innovative. In this partnership, we strive to nurture, support and disciple children as their knowledge, character and love for God grows.

The Kindergarten to Year 12 school structure enables your child to remain at our one campus throughout their education journey towards work, university or other life learning. The K-12 nature of LCS allows for opportunities for leadership, collaboration and the expression of creativity in the gifts God has given them. In this supportive environment, children are encouraged to explore how best to develop their talents and prepare them for life beyond school. There is also a strong emphasis on pastoral care, teamwork and fun.

I encourage you to explore the benefits of Christian education through reading our website and perhaps by booking a tour.

I look forward to meeting you and being part of your child’s journey here as they discover their God given talents and explore their place in God’s world and His love for them.
