Conversation with Mayor Van Zetten

Last Friday, our Year 6 classes were visited by Mayor van Zetten. This was a part of our studies on Economics and Business. It was a great privilege to talk with Mayor van Zetten, who has had a challenging role serving the community and applying his knowledge and wisdom as an accountant, and as a man of God.

One of our classmates was able to try on the mayoral chain! We learned about the Youth Advisory for the council and a few of us are wondering if that could be in our future. As Mayor van Zetten is retiring we were able to pray for him and for our next Mayor.

We are very thankful for Mayor van Zetten’s time and willingness to speak with us.
