The Association of the Launceston Christian School (Inc.) kindly set aside their annual membership fees to provide a Scholarship to assist financially struggling families who are committed to Christian education. This discretionary Scholarship is available to a new or existing family who can demonstrate a practicing Christian faith and who might otherwise not be able to afford a Christian education for their children.
How to Apply:
• Pick up an application form from our Registrar at the school office or print the application form which is available under the 'Board and Association' section in 'Our School' on the website.
• The application form must be completed in full and returned to our Registrar. The deadline for applications for the 2023 Scholarship is Friday 29th September 2023.
• Applications for this scholarship are only by recommendation from an existing LCS community member (eg. Staff, Association or PiC member).
• A church referee must be provided as part of the application process.
Decision Process:
• A panel will meet to shortlist all applications.
• Families who have been shortlisted may be requested to meet with a maximum of 2 members of the panel to discuss their application in more detail.
• Panel will decide on the successful applicant before the November General Meeting of the Association.
• The Association will be notified of the successful family at the November General Meeting.
Fees to be paid by Successful Applicant:
• Fee Deposit: Our Fee Deposit is a one off payment of $1,500 for all new families, and is to be paid on acceptance of enrolment or before the student starts school. Kinder families pay their Fee Deposit before their child starts Prep. The Fee Deposit will be credited to the family’s tuition fee account during their final year at LCS.
• Tuition Fees: The family’s Tuition Fees will be charged as per the 2024 Fee Schedule. As this is yet to be determined, the 2023 Fee Schedule is provided below for your reference. The Scholarship will provide $2,000 per year for a period of 2 years towards the family’s total Tuition Fees.
